Planning in Progress for Summer 2007
Norway - Finland - Sweden - Denmark - Germany - Holland

This would not be a simple enough trip with accommodations plus the fuel and route planning required up front. Visa's and vaccinations should not be necessary. There might be some route changes up north by Tromso due to Fjord crossings to check (if they exist)

DFDS Ferries from Newcastle to Kristiansen 4100 miles in country finishing with DFDS Ferries from
Amsterdam back to Newcastle which will include 780 miles  in the UK home to port and back again.
Working on £4 per Gallon  or .88p per Litre @ 40 MPG approx £500 for fuel
Return Ferries = £405 (includes Economy Cabin + Meals); Bike Service & Tyres  = £470; European Breakdown = £50; Travel Insurance we have it but if we didn't it would come in at £25.

Accommodation:

Campingfrom my experience in Norway you can camp anywhere outside of the cities except for the home pasture of a farm and fields which haven't been harvested, so you don't need to worry if you don't make it to your next intended stop. There are many campsites, however, and most also have basic cabins sleeping two, four, or more people - useful for the occasional evening of lounging around and drying out. here is an interesting site which shows where all the sites are:  http://www.camping.no/index_eng.html or for the whole of Europe http://infocamping.com/en/europe/
